Does the payment option change the SAP service I receive?
No. Every payment option purchases the same DOT SAP Evaluation Package. The payment method does not change the evaluations, reports, applicable Clearinghouse updates, or support included in the package.
Are education, treatment, and the Return-to-Duty test included?
No. Education or treatment assigned by the SAP and the directly observed Return-to-Duty test are separate from the DOTSAP.com Evaluation Package.
When do I choose my payment option?
After completing the Get Started form, you will be directed to the secure payment page where you can select the checkout route that includes your preferred payment provider.
Why is education or treatment separate?
DOT requires the SAP to determine the appropriate education or treatment individually after the initial evaluation. Because the recommendation must be based on the individual’s circumstances, the type, provider, and cost cannot be known in advance. DOT rules also generally require the SAP to remain financially independent from any provider receiving the referral.
Important: A compliant SAP should not promise a predetermined education or treatment requirement before completing the initial evaluation.
